I know this is a soccer blog, but with the key word being blog, I decided to post some off-topic yet enormous news.
After one of the most followed elections in recent memory, Illinois senator Barack Obama has been named the 44th President of the United States of America defeating Arizona senator John McCain. Obama will be taking charge of the Oval Office for his four year term starting on January 20, 2009.
Whether you voted for Obama or not, you can't deny the fact that this evening's election was history in the making. The next four years will be very interesting for this country and you're more than welcome to discuss your views on this historic election in the comment box below.
